The university invites you to a traditional donation campaign

Wednesday, March 26, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In the III building of VDU (52 K. Donelaičio str., 1st century), in the students' lounge, the traditional annual blood donation campaign. As usual, everyone is invited to participate and donate blood.

Persons aged 18-65 years and weighing more than 50 kg can become blood donors. You must have a personal identification document with you.

The organizers point out that illnesses and accidents do not ignore the time of year - none of us knows when a complex operation and a donor blood transfusion may be necessary.

Due to the changeable weather, the Blood Center receives fewer potential donors. However, in the hospital, blood is needed every day: during complex cardiac and neurosurgical operations, for burn patients, for women who have bled after childbirth, for children and adults with oncological diseases. It is not possible to prepare for the spring season and stockpile blood in advance - blood is a living tissue and its products can be stored for no longer than a month.
