One student is running to become the president of VDU SA
On March 10, the Student Parliament of Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) will gather for the VDU Student Representative (SA) alternate-election conference, during which the VDU SA president will be elected. The request to apply for this position was submitted by one candidate - Emilija Drabužinskaitė, a bachelor's student at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Currently, the candidate is a 4th-year student of the psychology study program, who has been active in the VMU Student Representation for the fourth year and is completing her first term as Vice President and second term as coordinator of the Social Affairs Committee. He is also actively involved in student representation both at the university and national level - he is active in the VMU Senate, the VMU Student Parliament, the VMU Social Sciences Faculty Council, and the Lithuanian Student Union. Applying for this position, Emilija says that she is aware of the responsibility she is taking on, but believes that "the accumulated experience and learned lessons will help me and my team to make the right decisions, continue successful activities and change what is not successful, in order to ensure the proper education of VMU students voice!'
Drabužinskaitė, taking into account the changes in the higher education system in recent years, set 15 goals in the operational guidelines, with which she promises to achieve high-quality representation of VMU students. The goals set include various areas: academic integrity, students with individual needs and foreign students, improvement of the representative system, optimization of the organization's human resources, and other areas.

March 2 6 p.m. There will be an interview with the candidate in the foyer of the Great Hall of VDU (28 S. Daukanto Street), during which she will be able to talk about her ideas and goals in more detail and answer students' questions.
March 10 12 o'clock VDU SA report-election conference will be held, during which the organization's activity and financial reports will be presented, VDU SA president(s), board and audit will be elected.
The president of the Vytautas Magnus University Student Representative Office is the head of the representative office who is responsible for what happens inside and outside the representative office. He represents all university students at the meetings of the University Rectorate, VMU Council with the right to vote, represents VMU students in the Lithuanian Student Union and performs other functions provided for in the VMU SA Statutes.
