The meetings of the VDU SA committees begin

September 12 The Student Representative Office of Vytautas Magnus University (VDU SA) organized a committee fair, during which students could communicate with members of the organization, learn more about VDU SA committees and their activities, and register for the representative office.

Committee meetings will start from Monday, where everyone who wants to contribute to the activities of VDU SA is welcome.

Monday 17:00 - Projects and International Relations Committee meeting This committee actively works with Lithuanian and foreign funds and seeks to attract financing for various SA activities. Members of the committee constantly communicate and establish partnerships with foreign organizations. An expanding network of partners allows university members to go on various youth exchanges and represent their country and the university. The committee is coordinated Laurynas Samajauskas. 

Monday 18:00 - Culture Committee meeting Committee takes care of high-quality, fun and meaningful free time of VMU students. In addition to traditional events such as "V2", "Spring Festival" or the "Balanced fuksas" camp, the committee also contributes to the implementation of academic and social actions. Committee coordinator - Monika Terzyte.

Tuesday 17:00 - Social Affairs Committee meeting The purpose of the committee is to ensure students' safety, emotional well-being, development of the social dimension, and to create a cozy and dynamic social environment. Committee members also take care of the quality of dormitory services, student financial support, favorable study conditions at the university and infrastructure based on the principles of universal design and adapted to all students' needs. The committee is coordinated by – Ieva Vengrovskaya.

Tuesday 18:00 - Public Relations Committee meeting Committee function is to disseminate information about the activities of VDU SA, answer students' questions and messages, administer VDU SA accounts on social networks, write press releases and take care of the organization's image. In addition, the editor of the magazine "Studis" works in the committee (chief editor Victoria Rekstytė, editorial meetings are held on Tuesday at 19:00). Committee coordinator - Gabriele Šturmaitė.

Wednesday at 17:00 - Marketing and advertising committee meeting. Committee is responsible for the support received by the representative office, seeks financial resources for the implementation of events and projects. Committee members are actively looking for partners who would provide better conditions for VMU students in various institutions and make new acquaintances with representatives of various companies. Committee coordinator - Ritis Sidarevičius.

Wednesday 18:00 - Academic Affairs Committee meeting This committee takes care of better quality of studies and academically fair organization of studies. This committee is always ready to provide all relevant answers to academic questions and take care of students like themselves! The committee is coordinated Kristina Balčiūnaitė and Gintarė Jurelytė.

Wednesday 19:00 - General meeting of VDU SA. This meeting is chaired by the president of VDU SA Paulius Vaitiekus, which introduces the members of the representative office to the most relevant information and news. During the general meeting, various topics are discussed, the committees tell about the work done during the week.

Lina Stumbrytė, who is responsible for the organization's human resources, says that starting at the representative office can be a challenge, but participating in committee meetings will help you get to know the organization better and discover activities you like: "Since there is a large selection of committees, I highly recommend trying yourself in most of them, because it will help to understand in which areas you want to work further."
