One candidate expressed her desire to take the position of VDU SA president
On March 10, the Student Parliament of Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) will gather for the VDU Student Representation (SA) alternate-election conference, during which the VDU SA president elections will be held. The request to apply for this position was submitted by one candidate - Ieva Vengrovskaja, a bachelor's student at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Ieva is a second-year psychology student. The candidate has been contributing to student self-government activities for the fourth year already: as an active member, then she was the coordinator of the Social Affairs Committee for two years, in 2021. was elected the president of the VMU Student Representation. "As I am running for a second term, I feel that I firmly know what the duties, rights and responsibilities of the president are. I also understand the importance of the growth of the VMU Student Representative Office itself as an organization and its members, as well as every student who enters, studies or graduates from VMU", says Ieva in her cover letter.
I. Vengrovskaja, based on the issues relevant to students, envisaged four areas of activity in her activity guidelines: improving the quality of studies and students' social environment, cooperation with student representatives and their involvement in VMU governing bodies, representation of VMU students' interests on a national scale, strengthening of VMU community and student self-governance.

The president of the Vytautas Magnus University Student Representative Office is the head of the representative office who is responsible for what happens inside and outside the representative office. He represents all university students in the meetings of the University Rectorate, VMU Council with the right to vote, represents VMU students in the Lithuanian Student Union and performs other functions provided for in the VMU SA Statutes.
