A new beginning in VMU student representation
On September 5, the VMU Student Representation started accepting new members at the Committee Fair, and from September 9 to 11, the first committee meetings were held. The new beginning of the academic year in the Student Representative Office became a great opportunity for all new members of the representative office to get to know the activities of the organization and its committees.
Committee fair: a three-generation discussion and a fun atmosphere
The committee fair began with a lively discussion between the three generations of representation: first-years, "old-timers" and alumni. This discussion helped not only to better understand how the organization works, but also created a warm, open atmosphere where new members were free to ask questions and interact. Later, students who wanted to join the representative office could get to know the activities of each committee by completing various tasks and interacting with the Student Representative Office.
First Meetings: Deeper into Committee Activities
The first meetings of the committees gave the newcomers the opportunity to examine the activities of the committees in more detail, to understand how they can contribute to various projects and initiatives. It was a great opportunity to get answers to their questions and discover which committees fit their interests.
New members about their experiences
Based on the feedback from new members, the VMU Student Representation surprised us with its cozy atmosphere and welcoming community. Kamila shares: "It's very interesting, a lot of positivity, interesting tasks, a lot of energetic people who involve you in everything. The atmosphere is very cozy, there are so many people around, they seem to want to try everything and participate everywhere to find what attracts them the most." Austėja adds: "Awesome, I really liked everyone's friendliness and goodwill. We were really, very warmly received."
Dominyka also remembers her first experience with the representative office: "The committee fair is one of my first acquaintances with the representative office and its work, which further encouraged the desire to be a part of this organization. The first meetings are full of excitement, but it faded with the first conversations and the smiles of others. After all, it's a new beginning for everyone." Rusnė shares her experience: "I was lost at the fair of committees - I wanted to join somewhere, but no one joined. But the meetings and the motivational conversation of the SA made it clear that I had reached the right place."
VMU Student Representation is happy with the successful admission of new members and enthusiastically looks forward to further activities together with the first years.
