VMU Student Parliament will hold its first meeting of the 2025-2026 term

The Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) Student Parliament will convene for its first meeting of this term on November 24th 6:00 PM S. Daukanto St. 28, Senate Hall. During it, the new Chairman of the Student Parliament will be elected and more work will be done.

Schedule of the meeting: 

  1. Registration of meeting participants.
  2. Opening of the meeting of the VMU Student Parliament.
  3. Elections of the secretary of the meeting of the Student Parliament of VMU.
  4. VDU Student Parliament vote counting committee elections.
  5. Approval of the meeting agenda.
  6. Presentation of the activities and documents of the VMU Student Parliament (presented by the President of the VMU Student Parliament)

  7. Preparation of the VMU Student Parliament's work plan and meeting schedule for the coming year
    (presented by VMU SA President Vitalija Jakubaitytė).
  8. Elections of the President of the VMU Student Parliament.
  9. Other questions.
  10. Closing of the meeting.

The VMU Student Parliament is the highest body of Student Self-Government, which consists of student representatives of all faculties and study levels. During the parliament, the problems raised by students are considered, topical issues are discussed, positions of the organization (VDU SA) on higher education and other issues are prepared and approved, as well as elections for the most important positions are held by secret ballot. The President of the VDU Student Parliament, the President of the VDU SA, the Board and Audit are elected or dismissed, the activities and financial reports of the VDU SA are considered and approved, and new VDU SA documents are corrected or submitted.
