Strategic directions and achievements

The activities of VMU SA were focused on four main areas:

  • Improving the student representative system,
  • Strengthening community and local government,
  • Representation internationally and nationally.

Each of the areas has separate objectives and work done to achieve them. You can read the activity report here.

During the year, 42 examination observations were conducted, academic integrity was promoted, and discussions on the use of artificial intelligence in studies were organized. In addition, it was ensured that the concept of a large family at VMU would be unified with the formulation provided for in the Laws of the Republic of Lithuania.

Student representation and international activities

VMU SA continued to strengthen the competences of student representatives, organized their training and accreditation. 97% student representatives successfully passed the accreditation tests. They also actively participated in the activities of the Lithuanian Student Union, meetings of the Baltic Student Unions, international projects and cooperated with the Transform4Europe alliance.

Future prospects

In the coming years, VMU SA will seek to further involve students in the organization's activities, improve ties with the VMU community, and strengthen representation of student interests. Much attention will be paid to ensuring the safety and inclusion of LGBTQ+ students, improving conditions for students with individual needs, and improving the quality of studies.
