The Christmas spirit spread at VDU

On December 9, Thursday, a Christmas tree was lit in the square near the central palace of VDU. During the community Christmas celebration, guests feasted on baked goods distributed by organizations, listened to live music and participated in creative workshop activities.

The celebration was opened by the national dance ensemble "Žilvitis" of VMU students, the vice-rector of VMU studies, Assoc. Kęstutis Šidlauskas and vice-rector of international relations Ineta Dabašinskienė. The celebration was decorated with "fireworks" of amber dust, which were accompanied by wishes invented by the guests.

After lighting the tree, everyone gathered in the lobby of the great hall, where live music was played - VDU choirs and talents gave their songs. Also, guests could take pictures in the space decorated with Christmas decorations. On the second floor, feasts prepared by the organizations and creative workshops were waiting, where it was possible to make Christmas cards, toys and cookies. Throughout the event, guests were encouraged to donate to the Kaunas Child Development Clinic "Lopšelis".
