The word "Lithuania" lit up in the windows of "Taikos"

On March 9, residents of the Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) dormitory "Taika" celebrated Lithuania's Independence Day in an original way. Students arranged the words "Lithuania" and "March 11" in their windows, one letter at a time.

The commemoration was led by the dormitory council, and students from all twelve floors kindly joined in. Residents of surrounding houses and the neighboring VMU dormitory "Karas" also gathered to admire the event.

„Laurynas Nikelis, chairman of the "Taika" dormitory, shares his impressions: "We wanted to show that "Taika" is a united and civic dormitory. I am glad that commemorating this important day for Lithuania turned out to be important for all residents. I think that there will be more such actions in the dormitory."“

This is not the first "Švieslentė" initiative initiated by the dormitory. A few years ago, the campaign was organized to support the Kaunas "Žalgiris" basketball team (the recording can be found on the "Youtube" portal).
