The cold in winter is not terrible, harden yourself too!

During the winter, our common companion is a cold, accompanied by a runny nose, sore throat, cough and fever. In addition to all this, we generally feel unwell. We would all like to avoid diseases and not succumb to various infections, so our immunity must be sufficiently resistant to this. How can we strengthen it or, if the disease attacks, resist it like a true warrior and recover quickly?

Don't rush to take all sorts of pills or various medicines, remember what your grandparents used and what helped them stay healthy and overcome all ailments. Folk medicine has always been a good solution. When you dig deep somewhere, you just have to raise your eyes up and see that everything you need for your health is within reach.

I share with you 5 solutions that will ease your suffering when you are sick during this extremely changeable winter season:

  1. A slice of bread with garlic is a great way to boost your immunity and prevent various infections and illnesses during the cold season.

Recipe:

Take a few slices of bread, spread some butter on them, cut a few cloves of garlic, put them on the bread with butter and eat them. And so on at least once a day or every few days (it depends on you how determined you are to enjoy it). By eating it regularly during the cold season, your body will be stronger, your immunity will be more resistant. After all, the good properties of garlic are not invented by chance.

Garlic:

  • Rich in various vitamins (PP, B1, B2, D, C) and beneficial substances (proteins, minerals, carbohydrates, fats, fiber, etc.)
  • Suitable for treating infectious diseases (respiratory and digestive tract parasites)
  • Suitable for people with cardiovascular problems
  • Reduces blood clotting, thus protecting against thrombosis
  • Improves the secretion of digestive tract glands and activates intestinal motility
  • Garlic is not recommended for people with kidney or liver disease or those taking blood-thinning medications.
  1. To soothe a sore throat, drink ginger tea with lemon and honey.

Recipe:

You grate the ginger root, heat the kettle, brew the tea, and squeeze in the lemon. Since the beneficial properties of honey become less effective in hot temperatures, it is best to eat honey from a jar. Believe me, although it will be sharp, drinking this tea several times a day will quickly relieve your sore throat. It is also a great immune booster.

Ginger:

  • They contain many beneficial substances (aluminum, calcium, fiber, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium, vitamin C, etc.)
  • Reduces cramps and pain during menstruation
  • Stimulates metabolism
  • Strengthens immunity
  • Prevention of colds (cough, flu, sinusitis, colds, headaches), facilitates expectoration
  • Improves blood circulation in the brain, helps overcome stressful situations and improves the absorption of learning material
  1. To regulate body temperature – freshly squeezed orange juice.

Recipe:

Squeeze a few oranges (you can also grapefruit and lemons) and drink this juice. As they say, genius lies in simplicity. So this method will help you reduce a fever, provided it is not higher than 38 ohC.

Oranges:

  • Rich in vitamin C
  • Improves appetite and digestion
  • Regulates blood sugar levels
  • Reduces the risk of cancer
  • The peel contains essential oils that have a positive effect (calming, lowering blood pressure and improving mood)
  1. Woolen clothes are not only for feeling warm, but also for "chasing" the temperature.

Well, I don't think there's any need for a recipe here - all you need to do is have wool socks or other woolen clothing and wear them. Especially in extremely high temperatures, when your body needs to sweat, wool socks (or other woolen clothing) will speed up the process, so you can safely sleep with them! By the way, all this improves blood circulation and warms you up on cold winter evenings.

Wool:

  • Protects against sudden temperature changes
  • Retains warmth even when wet
  • Absorbs moisture vapor, making this type of garment comfortable in both hot and cold weather
  • It is non-allergenic.
  • Wool fiber is extremely durable
  1. For colds – NO – a foot bath.

Recipe:

Fill a large, special container with hot water, add a few large pinches of sea salt (table salt will also work), and soak your feet for a few minutes. Not only will it relax you after a hard day, but it will also help improve your health (for example, treat a cold).

Water:

  • Reduces fatigue and provides energy
  • Suppresses hunger
  • Regulates body temperature
  • Required for normal cardiovascular function
  • Protects the body from overheating, and the accumulated heat also prevents the body from cooling down (due to certain processes involving water)
  • Strengthens muscles

Here are some very simple, but extremely valuable solutions that you will definitely not regret choosing. As they say, everything you need is right here, so never spit on folk medicine - why stuff yourself with chemicals when you can try a natural way first? By the way, if you harden your body in this way, colds will not be so terrible. So I wish you to run to the store now and buy what you need so that you can start your healthy life of disease prevention during the cold season.
