One student expressed her desire to take the position of VDU SA president
On March 7, the Student Parliament of Vytautas the Great University (VDU) will gather for the VDU Student Representation (SA) alternate-election conference, during which the VDU SA president elections will be held. The request to run for this position was submitted by one candidate - Emilija Drabužinskaitė, a bachelor's student of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the current president of VDU SA.
The candidate who expressed her desire to take up the position this year is a 4th-year student of the psychology study program, who has been working in the VMU Student Representation for the fourth year. E. Drabužinskaitė held the position of social affairs committee coordinator for two years, vice president for a year and is currently finishing her first term as president. He is also actively involved in representing students in the VMU Council, the VMU Rectorate, the VMU Disputes Commission, the VMU Ethics Commission, the VMU Student Parliament, and the Council of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
"By running for this position for the second year in a row, I believe that I am clearly familiar with the needs of VMU students and the current situation, as well as what role the president of the VMU Student Representation has in the higher education system," the candidate writes in her activity guidelines.
E. Drabužinskaitė, taking into account the results of last year's activity and the current direction of activity, set 14 goals in the activity guidelines, with the help of which she promises to ensure the improvement of the quality of studies and the social environment, the improvement of the system of student representatives, and the strengthening of the community and self-government.

February 27 6 p.m. There will be an interview with the presidential candidate in the foyer of the Great Hall of VDU (S. Daukanto St. 28), during which she will be able to talk in more detail about her ideas and goals and answer students' questions.
March 7 11 o'clock VDU SA report-election conference will be held, during which the organization's activity and financial reports will be presented, VDU SA president(s), board and audit will be elected.
The president of the Vytautas Magnus University Student Representative Office is the head of the representative office who is responsible for what happens inside and outside the representative office. He represents all university students at the meetings of the University Rectorate, VMU Council with the right to vote, represents VMU students in the Lithuanian Student Union and performs other functions provided for in the VMU SA Statutes.
