„"Student, be a student!": experience what it means to be a VMU student

The Student Representative Council of Vytautas Magnus University invites students in grades 10–12 to participate in the annual project "Students, be a student!", which will take place on February 15–20, 2026. During this project, participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in student life for a week, try out the desired study program, and get to know the university's lecturers, students, and the opportunities offered by VMU.

Project activities

The project gives students the opportunity to:

  • participate in the lectures of the chosen study program,
  • get to know VDU Liberal arts study model and parallel studies,
  • to experience student life by communicating with VMU mentors,
  • try informal student activities and get to know the university community.

The project helps to answer one of the most important questions - which field of study best meets the student's needs and expectations?

Registration and selection

The selection of project participants will take place in several stages:

  • January 2, 2026 - January 14, 2026 11:59 p.m. student registration is underway;
  • January 16, 2026. selected students are informed by the provided e-mail and registration for study subjects is sent (if the organizers have not contacted you, you have not been selected for the project);
  • Further communication with participants takes place via e-mail and in a closed Facebook group.

In order to participate, you must complete the registration form by the specified deadline. Selected students will be invited to meet mentors and participate in preparatory meetings.

Additional information

  • Project price: 15 Eur (the event will be enriched with prizes, games and gifts throughout the project, therefore, in order to ensure the commitment and active involvement of participants, a participation fee is applied), however, students with a difficult financial (social) situation are granted a 100% discount (upon submission of supporting documents).
  • Meals are provided at your own expense.
  • The project is adapted to students with individual needs.
