See further than tomorrow, lecture with Antans Guoga
See beyond tomorrow
On Wednesday evening, Antanas Guoga visited the students of Vytautas Magnus University. Although the businessman did not speak for long, did not try to convince the audience of anything, did not tell about his life achievements (and there are certainly very impressive ones), he simply enchanted everyone with his sincerity and self-confidence. Moreover, in each of A.Guoga's answers to the most diverse questions, what he emphasized more than once during this meeting was noticeable: "Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity".
"We must not be afraid of ideas that are different - crazy ideas"
The entrepreneur emphasized the importance of innovation, stating that you should not be afraid of ideas that seem impossible now. You should always think about the future by asking yourself questions: what doesn't exist yet and what could function perfectly in the future? It doesn't matter whether it's a product or a service, even the area in which you want to realize yourself has no impact, because the most important thing is that you believe in your idea and have a clear vision for it.
"Invest in people"
A.Guoga shared his thoughts on education and encouraged the students: "You will never lose knowledge, it is the greatest asset." He stated that the greatest value lies in the person themselves - no one is born knowing everything, but everyone can deepen their knowledge and improve their abilities. It is also necessary to understand that it is not only the subjects we study or additional activities that educate us, even the simplest tasks are important, to which we may not attach much importance at first.
A successful person must be constantly interested in everything and "catch" knowledge. He must not be afraid to go to seminars, find out how Google works, find out the current affairs of the day. It is difficult to disagree when you see in front of you a person who has achieved a lot, who without the slightest problem is able to answer questions about business, poker, career, life and even share his opinion about the hockey game that took place a few hours ago, which he himself did not even see.
As much as we would like, it is impossible to list all the thoughts that could be gleaned from this meeting. However, I would like to conclude with one that brought many sincere smiles to the small hall: “Seek knowledge and help other people, and everything will come by itself.”
