The Freedom Studies Center presents a new project - the Academy of Young Leaders

WHAT IS THIS?

These are weekend-long trainings, meetings and discussions. leadership, personal development and citizenship topics, intended for young people aged 16-20 who set high goals for themselves.
WHY ATTEND?

–        Dating with prominent people from business, science, culture and politics

–        Visiting and cognitive practice In Lithuanian companies and non-governmental organizations

–        Career opportunities and prospects in Lithuania

–        Personal development in the fields of entrepreneurship, leadership, communication

–        Innovative way to gain experience in social activities

–        Opportunity find new friends, like-minded people from all over Lithuania

 

 WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

This academic year (2013-2014) will be held two sessions in March and April months. Between these sessions, participants will have the opportunity to meet and conduct internships at various non-governmental organizations and private companies.

Meetings and discussions with:

– representatives of the world of culture

– journalists and TV presenters

– well-known and experienced businessmen in the field

– initiators and organizers of various festivals, conferences, and civic initiatives

– famous politicians

– heads of non-governmental organizations

 

Trainings and lectures:

– personal development and career topics: discovering and developing your talents, career planning, choosing a profession

– on entrepreneurship topics: success stories of business leaders, lectures on business creation

– communication topics: public speaking and debate training, social media innovations and trends, basics of successful self-presentation

 

Visits – excursions/one-day internships in various companies and organizations:

– in banks

– public relations agencies

– real estate

– in mobile communication provider companies

– in state institutions

– in IT companies

– in high-tech companies

– in non-governmental organizations

– In higher education institutions

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Young Leaders Academy invites you to participate Young people aged 16-20 (10th-12th grade students, 1st-2nd year students) from all over Lithuania.

Applications are accepted until February 10, 2014.

 

 

WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN?

The first session will be held on March 14-16, 2014 in Vilnius.

The organizers will take care of the participants' accommodation, meals, and will also compensate for travel costs.
