VDU SA invites the academic community to celebrate Christmas together
The Vytautas Magnus University Student Representation (VDU SA) invites all members of the academic community to forget the session for a while, take a break from work and start looking forward to the most beautiful holidays of the year together. December 16 (Monday) at 6 p.m. The traditional Christmas celebration of the VMU Community will take place in the VDU Great Hall (28 S. Daukanto St.). This year it's going to be special because the V2 Teacher Awards are back with a bang.
During the event, there will be Christmas workshops: folding origami, a Christmas version of the cross-nought game, drawing brainless people, exchanging gift ideas and making figurines from a mixture of salt and flour. Performers well known to the VDU community will perform for the gathered: Vytenis Danielius, Isabella Mia, the band "Begėdžiai" and the academic choir "Vivere Cantus" (conductor Rolandas Daugėla). The event will also be attended by participants and volunteers of the "Kelrode žvaigdže" project. In addition, 9 awards will be presented to the most beloved and deserving members of the VDU academic community.
"This holiday is special for a very simple reason - Christmas is a time of coziness and togetherness. This is a great opportunity for the community to gather in a different environment, to talk, to light the university tree, thereby igniting the festive mood in their hearts. And by rewarding the teachers, we want to show them that the students care about the mutual connection and the dedication of the teachers to their work, which the students want to appreciate", - reveals the coordinator of the event, Monika Terzytė.
"VDU community Christmas" - a traditional event organized by VDU SA is intended for the entire university community to spend time together in an informal environment, feel the Christmas spirit, listen to the works performed by students and light the Christmas tree together in the Students' Square.
