Justinas Petkus, president of the VMU Student Representation, also participated in the rector's meeting held on the morning of October 15.
During the meeting, the prospects for conducting studies in 2015-2016 were discussed. Faculties will be required to create working groups that will present their findings and ideas. They also talked about targeted funding studies, their organization and popularization. Targeted financing is study support for students studying specialties necessary and necessary for the state. After signing such an agreement, the student would receive funding for the entire period of study, if, of course, he fulfills the conditions stipulated in the agreement. A contract would be signed with the future employer, which would not only indicate that the student must work for three years in the relevant institution, but also should provide for the minimum salary of the employee. Also discussed are the risks if the student loses his job. In such a case, it is considered that the university undertakes to help the student who has lost his job.
The VDU SA project "Students, be a student" that will start on Monday was also mentioned. According to the rector, this is the only VMU project that attracts so many future students.
