Eleventh Teacher Awards and Talent Evening - V2

March 10 The annual teachers' awards and talent evening - "V2" - was held in the VDU Great Hall. As many as 12 nominations were announced at the event, the winners of which were chosen by students.

The festive evening was opened by the performance of the "Vivere Cantus" Academic Choir of VDU. They performed the student anthem "Gaudeamus igitur".

The first "Sense of Humor" nomination of the year was won by Vytautas Lesionis, a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, who knows that the way to students' hearts is through a good mood.

The second nomination "Debut of the Year" went to rector Juozas Augutius and his team.

The third award went to Andriis Narbekovs, a lecturer at the Faculty of Catholic Theology. Students chose him as the best orator, who is able to bring full audiences to his lectures.

VDU has always stood out for its internationality, which is why we have a large number of teachers teaching foreign languages. Jaq Greenspon, a lecturer at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Diplomacy, managed to defeat the other nominees for the fourth time this year.

The fifth nomination "Lecture of the Year" went to the student-loved lecturer Mindaugas Norkevičius for his lecture on Risk Communication.

For the fifth time, Bronė Gudaitytė (Faculty of Humanities) became the most benevolent teacher and won the "Heart of the Year" award.

This year, the "Organization of the Year" became the Academic Club of Political Scientists.

Three gentlemen competed for the title of "Most Stylish of the Year", but Justinas Kisieliauskas, a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Management, received the most student votes.

The ninth nomination, which was called "Innovation of the Year", was won by the soon-to-be-opened new faculty of VMU located on Putvinskis street.

One of the most intriguing nominations "Couple of the Year" this year went to Arvydas and Irena Bakanauskas, lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Management.

For the first time, the "Violin Key of the Year" nomination was announced at the "V2" awards, which was won by Sigit Mickis, a teacher at the Academy of Music.

Well, the most anticipated and most important "Teacher of the Year" nomination of this event was won by Mindaugas Norkevičius, a lecturer at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Diplomacy!

The awards night was brightened up and attracted the attention of the audience by various university talents:

Greta Šmaižytė (2nd year student of the Faculty of Social Sciences), who read her creative text "Sunshine".

Vytautas Magnus University Academic Choir "Vivere Cantus" with the song "Augo Bernelis".

Former student of VMU Faculty of Economics and Management and second place winner of the Voice of Lithuania Dainius Griesius with the song "Nakty".

Vice-Rector of Studies Kęstutis Šidlauskas with the song "Afro-American".

Folk dance ensemble "Žilvitis".

Samanta Varšelytė and Povilas Kormonis, who performed two songs: "The wind told me" and "Bang bang".

Benas Ulevičius, dean of the Faculty of Catholic Theology, who performed the song "Shine a star high up".

Student of the Faculty of Economics and Management Indrė Kupčinskaitė with the song "Everything".

Fourth-year public communication student Rokas Povilius with the group "Icelandic Road Women". They performed their song "Fifty Cents".

Student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and president of AJMD "Modusas" Aušra Balsytė with the song "Gorgeus" by Foxes.

Erika Blinkutė, vocalist of the Jazz Department of the Academy of Music, with the song "Something". She is accompanied by guitar - Rokas Limanauskas, drums - Ugnius - Balevičius.

The evening was crowned by a gift from the VDU Student Representation - an acoustic concert by Monika Linkytė.
