Talent and awards evening "V2" was held at VDU!

What? Where? When?

"V2" is an event organized by VMU student representation and has become a tradition for all VMU community members, during which the most deserving VMU teachers are honored and rewarded. So, like every year, on March 5, the great hall of VDU was bustling with a lot of dressed-up guests, talented students and teachers who were nominated by students of our university and claimed to win in ten different nominations.

We awarded the best and most beloved VDU teachers.

In the nomination "Audience of the Year", the teacher Vytautas Liesionis, who gathers packed audiences, won.

The "Heart of the Year" award went to Bronė Gudaitytė, whose warm manner and benevolence do not go unnoticed by the students.

The Miguel de Cervantes Spanish Language and Culture Club won all the laurels in the "Student Organization of the Year" nomination.

The "event of the year" became a date that went down in the history of VMU - the day when the regalia of the title of honorary doctor of VMU was presented to the Secretary General of the United Nations, His Excellency Ban Ki-Moon.

The winner of the "Sense of Humor of the Year" was the teacher Miguel Puertas, who is always in a great mood and exudes charisma.

Teacher Rūstis Kamuntavičius was chosen as the "orator of the year", who is able to interest even the most skeptical students.

It is not the first year that lecturer Jaq Greenspon has received the title of "Foreigner of the Year".

“Metų poros“ apdovanojimas atiteko dar ilgai gyvuosiančiai porai – Copy1 + studentai , o „Metų idėja“ tapo “VDU laimės indekso matavimas”, kurią pasiūlė Justinas Kisieliauskas.

Also, one of the most important and most attention-getting nominations is "Teacher of the Year" and this year Vytautas Liesionis became the most loved teacher.

VDU can be proud of its talents!

During the entire event, not only students, but also teachers surprised the guests with their talents. First-year history student Aistis and his colleague Lukas from the "Medieval Envoys" club appeared at the very beginning.

Later, many students delighted with their wonderful voices: Indrė Dauderytė, Elijus Staržinskas (PMDF 1st year student) performed the song "Price tag", Roma Šilaitė together with Darija Kostienova (1st year student of languages and cultures of East Asian countries) sang in Japanese, Šarūnė and Valentas The Miguel de Cervantes Spanish Language and Culture Club performed the Spanish song "Volverte a ver" by Juanes, and Silvija (GMF II year student) and Ažuolas performed Jai Paul's song "Crush".

Of course, there was no lack of talented dancers either: Liucija Tamulytė surprised everyone with her dance and the unexpected end of the performance, and Viktorija (first-year student of creative industries) moved to the rhythm of "Rumba" with her partner Marius.

At the end, we could even see a romance called "I'll Ask an Ash Tree". It was performed by Ona Peičiūtė and Aurimas Rimkus, sophomores of the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Academy of Music, and the teacher Marius Piniginis was impressed by the modern dance miniature.

Guests and sponsors of the event.

The event was enlivened and everyone was in a great mood by the band "Neteišetai konti". We are also grateful to our sponsors: "Vero Cafe", "Red Bull", bookstore "irKnygos" and "Skonis ir kvapas". The VDU community is happy to have so many helpers that this beautiful event will take place for many more years. So we will wait for next year and meet again at "V2" at the beginning of March!
