Two candidates will seek the post of VDU SA president

March 12 the Vytautas Magnus University Student Representation (VDU SA) reporting and election conference will take place. During it, the VMU Student Parliament will also elect the new SA leader. Two candidates expressed their desire to run for the post of president this year - Tomas Bacevičius, a third-year student in the Political Science study program at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Diplomacy, and Paulius Vaitiekus, a fourth-year student in the Biotechnology study program at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

The President is a single-person governing body elected for a one-year term. He acts on behalf of the VMU SA, convenes and presides over meetings of the VMU Student Parliament, participates in the meetings of the VMU Rectorate, VMU Council with the right to vote, delegates members of the VMU SA to VMU institutions with the right to vote, forms working groups to fulfill certain obligations, etc.
