The Student Parliament elected the President of VDU SA, the Board and the Audit Commission
On March 10, the report-election conference of the Vytautas Dijojos University Student Representation (VDU SA) was held. During it, annual activity, financial and audit reports of VDU SA were presented. A new VDU SA Board, Audit Commission was elected, Ieva Vengrovskaja, a bachelor's student of the Faculty of Social Sciences, was elected as the president of VDU SA for the second term.
After the conference started and the agenda was approved, the president of VDU SA, Ieva Vengrovskaja, presented the annual activity and financial reports. Members of Parliament and guests had questions about changes in the VDU SA office, technical errors, implemented and unimplemented works. The Chairman of the Audit Commission, Greta Šmaižytė, presented the report of the Audit Commission and expressed praise, comments and recommendations for the organization's activities, their implementation and the use of financial resources. All three reports were approved by the resolution of the Student Parliament.
After the approval of the reports, the presidential election followed. Candidate Ieva Vengrovskaja presented the operational guidelines, the future VDU SA Office, and answered questions about the representation of the entire university's students, contact studies, scholarships and more.
During the conference, the candidates for the VDU SA Board also presented themselves: Kristina Balčiūnaitė, Daniel Mačichin, Lukas Gedvila, Laurynas Samajauskas, Martynas Vitkus, Solveiga Skaisgirytė and Vytautas Valaitis.
During this conference, the VDU SA Audit Commission was also elected. Joana Gasiulytė, Rokas Miltenis, Žygymantas Menčenkovas, Matas Čepurna, Toma Rasiukevičiūtė, Gabrielė Jonuskaitė, Gintarė Jurelytė and Silvija Malinauskaitė sought to occupy these positions.
After counting the parliamentary votes, Ieva Vengrovskaya was elected as the president of VDU SA (23 votes for, 1 against and 4 abstentions).
Board members became: Kristina Balčiūnaitė, Lukas Gedvila, Daniel Mačichin, Laurynas Samajauskas, Solveiga Skaisgirytė and Vytautas Valaitis.
Joana Gasiulytė, Rokas Miltenis, Matas Čepurna, Gintarė Jurelytė and Silvija Malinauskaitė were elected to the Audit Commission.
28 student representatives participated in the presentation of the report of the VMU Student Representation and the election meeting of the student parliament. The conference was chaired by the adviser of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports on higher education (studies) Andrius Zalitis, secretary of the LSS Office administrator Romas Kupčiūnas. The conference was also attended by the rector of VMU, prof. Juozas Augutis, VDU Vice-Rector of Studies Simona Pilkienė, Director of the Student Affairs Department Mantas Simanavičius.
