We are accepting applications for candidacy to the VDU SA Board

March 12 the report-election conference of the Vytautas Magnus University Student Representative Office (VDU SA) will be held, during which the Student Parliament will elect a new VDU SA president, audit commission and board for a one-year term. Those who want to become a member of the board, until March 9. must submit a completed application and motivation letter by e-mail by post prezidentas@vdusa.lt.

The board consists of 7 persons who are VDU SA members, VDU SA volunteers, Honorary members and/or Alumni. They ensure the implementation of the resolutions adopted by the VDU Student Parliament, consider and adopt resolutions on all issues of the VDU SA within the limits of its competence, consider valid normative documents that regulate the legal status of students and their organizations, prepare recommendations for their improvement, approve student representatives who have a decisive vote at the proposal of the President are appointed by law to represent the interests of VMU students in Lithuanian and foreign institutions, organizations and institutions, organize the elections of the VMU Student Parliament and the President, supervise their progress and announce the results, and perform other functions provided for in the Statutes.

Each candidate for the Board is elected by secret ballot at the meeting of the Student Parliament. The Board elects the Chairman of the Board from among its members during the first meeting by a simple majority vote by secret ballot. The chairman of the board takes office after the announcement of the results.
