VMU Student Parliament elections begin

On November 11, signatures will be collected for the opportunity to run for the Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) Student Parliament.

VMU Student Parliament is the most important governing body of SA. Its members adopt, supplement and amend the statutes, regulations and procedural rules of VDU SA. Also, members of parliament elect and dismiss the president of VDU SA by secret ballot, consider and approve the activity and financial reports of VDU SA. Members of the Student Parliament are also responsible for solving the problems of VMU students and answering the questions that arise.

The Student Parliament approves student representatives to the VMU Senate, faculty councils, the dispute settlement commission and other VMU institutions at the proposal of the president. It is very important that the Student Parliament, with a majority vote of all elected members, can demand a re-consideration of the decisions made by the university's self-governing institutions on study issues.

In order to represent the interests of students in their faculty, undergraduate students must complete request and collect 20 signatures from students of your faculty. Master's students must complete request and collect 10 signatures. Doctoral students must complete request, they do not need to collect signatures. Applications must be submitted to the president of the VMU Student Representation (SA) by November 29 at the address S. Daukanto str. 27-201, Kaunas.
