News from the Rectorate

On the morning of October 29, a meeting of the VMU rector's office was held, in which the President of the Student Representation, Justinas Petkus, also participated. The meeting discussed the development of lifelong learning services at the university, study quality perspectives in 2015-2016, changes in the list of programs, threats and future forecasts.

Also, during the meeting of the rector's office, the VMU United Nations Student Club was established. It is expected that it will unite students studying at VMU not only from Lithuania, but also from other countries. An attempt will be made to implement the model of the United Nations Organization in the university, in order to include not only those studying law or politics, but also all other students. The authors of the idea emphasized the importance of protecting human rights, and the organization's activities would include organizing debates, distributing political newspapers, organizing events based on internationalism, and the like. Efforts will be made to deepen students' knowledge and develop intelligence, by the way, it should be a great practical experience in the field of politics.

At the end of the Rectorate's meeting, an idea was presented to standardize the citation requirements for all VMU written works.
