Why should you do sports?
As the cold season comes, an old friend visits us Sloth. We sit at home together with him, spend time comfortably watching a movie and drinking tea. Even when we want to go out somewhere, he convinces us that it's not worth it, because it's so nice and warm at home. Sloth is one of those fellows who does not give in to persuasions about the benefits of fresh air for the body or the positive effects of sports on the mood. I know that you don't want to do sports alone, so I will help you persuade a friend to contribute. Here are some reasons that are sure to tempt anyone:
- Beautiful body. When playing sports, you suffer in advance for a good mood every time you change your clothes. It's so nice to see your toes standing up, or to finally wear a dress you "accidentally" bought, even though it was too small. The most important thing is that after noticing changes in the body, the desire and motivation to work increases even more. You want to surprise not only yourself, but also others. And the thought that you can become an example for someone drives you to the gym even on the hardest day.
- New people. Guaranteed new fun company with which you can go to the cinema and climb mountains. The circle of like-minded people expands, you meet people in life who support and inspire you to improve, because in sports there is always a healthy competition around you, which makes you strive for greater excellence. In addition, the thought "what would the coach think if he saw me now?" prevents rash and stupid decisions.
- Character gets stronger. Playing sports inevitably develops willpower, perseverance and stubbornness. These qualities make it easier to cope with various difficulties in life. Most of the time, you have to endure pain and discomfort during training, but there is no point in complaining, because you clearly understand that only through suffering can you reach the stars. When you begin to apply this awareness in your daily activities, the need to express dissatisfaction disappears, instead you invest your energy in changing the situation in the right direction.
- You have something to do. You can forget boring evenings with books (or, in fact, face books) if you start exercising. There's no need to delay anymore, because there simply won't be time. When the work marathon begins, sports also help to develop time management skills, and combining favorite activities avoids routine, so you get more and better done.
- Can legally wear training. Considering how beautiful and comfortable they are, it's a really great incentive to start working out. You will be able to walk to training wearing them, without fear of being supported by ordinary frost. There is some subtle difference (perhaps the smell or the giant backpack?) and people feel it.
- Can eat more. Rumor has it that you need to go on a diet when you start working out. It's true if you want it to be. Diets are usually resorted to to lose more weight or to achieve the best possible results (for example, to enter a certain weight category). Diets are only an aid, not a necessity. However, when exercising, nutrition changes. If you eat before training, you will feel bad and sleepy later, so it is not worth the risk. As the competition approaches, you also reduce the amount of food. Instead, you can eat more and in a variety of ways without remorse, because you will simply work off all the extra calories. The more calories you burn, the more calories you can consume. Simple as two times two. (Ladies, remember that saying "I eat as much as I want and I don't get fat"? That's what it really means.)
- Self-confidence grows. When you see progress, you start to believe in your own strength. Maybe you don't see the result when you struggle day after day, but when you look back at where you started, you realize how much you have achieved. That realization strengthens your self-esteem so much that you forget what shyness or the word "I can't" mean.
- New goals emerge. It is elementary that when you start a new activity, your pursuits related to it arise and diversify your life, and success inspires and motivates you to work harder in other areas of life. It can be said that sport is an additional plate to taste the taste of success. After all, the appetite increases without eating.
- Distracted by the thought. In training, all the troubles and troubles of the day are simply pushed aside, because you need to focus on what you are doing here and now. When you look at the problem after a while, it seems much simpler and the solution comes naturally.
- Fears decrease. The fear you feel going into an exam is nothing like the excitement before the start of a marathon. And the awkwardness before talking to someone you like can hardly be compared to face-to-face with the strongest opponent. Seeing how much you can overcome makes you braver than you ever thought possible.
By playing sports, a person improves in many ways, becomes more and more interesting and attractive to himself and others. The best thing is that everyone will find what suits them and likes the most, because the choice of sports is now simply huge. Students are even more lucky, because almost every university has its own sports center, and if you don't want to go there, it's enough to mention your status to get discounts. When such excellent conditions are created, all that remains is to talk to a friend and march to training.
PS For some, sport is just a pastime, for others it is a way of life. And it doesn't matter which category you are in, the most important thing is that the movement should be enjoyable. Yes, sometimes it's really, really hard, but that doesn't mean it's time to give up. After all, if you can't open a candy the first time, you don't think you're some kind of idiot who's not destined to eat sweets. You just peel that paper away with all your might until you finally feel the result of your efforts - the sweet taste of triumph. However, a candy in the hand often brings more joy than a candy in the stomach. So enjoy the process and the results will come naturally.
