When Christmas doesn't just smell like gingerbread...
It's a pity that only before Christmas our hearts start to beat faster with kindness and compassion for others... After all, there are such beautiful days, cries for help, everyone can try to help! But better late than never, people say. Therefore, the Social Affairs Committee of our Student Representation is no exception. To make waiting for Christmas more meaningful, we decided to include other members of the VDU community in our idea. This year's idea is to collect money for the Kaunas child development clinic "Lopšelis", to make the little ones happy with the necessary gifts. So, during the beautiful Christmas celebration of the VDU community, with the help (of course!) of Santa Claus and Snow White, thanks to good students, teachers and staff, we collected 44 euros! However, our committee member Viktorija Bagdanavičiūtė did not give up and, wanting even more help, collected another 100 euros with the help of her friends and acquaintances! A miracle happened! We pampered the children with cookies, blocks, kinetic sand, but most importantly - with our presence, attention, being able to play and play with them. And what more is needed? Only meaningful moments, warm smiles, being together and the spirit of Christmas has already been created! We wish everyone nice and warm holidays!
