You donate blood - you sign for life!

It is not the first time that the Student Representative Office of Vytautas the Great University has invited everyone who wants to join the "Blood Donation" campaign and become a blood donor.

On the warm morning of October 1st, a large group of members of the representative office invited everyone to join this campaign, which is taking place at the university for the first time and always attracts a lot of interest from students. During this campaign, 48 students of our university became free blood donors. Giorgio was the first to donate blood free of charge when he came from Greece to Lithuania to study. According to him, by donating blood, he wanted to destroy long-rooted myths about the harm caused by blood donation. By his example, Giorgio inspired more than one doubting student.

Many students wanted to participate in the action, but not all could do so. Before donating, everyone who wanted had to undergo a health check and undergo several tests that show whether a person is a suitable donor. The lucky ones, or as the doctors said - the healthy donors, are happy to be able to do a good job and help save a life. On that day, more students than ever became unpaid donors for the first time, although most of them watched the decisive act of others with fear, sitting on their chairs and anxiously waiting to see what would happen.

This is not the first and certainly not the last time that the students of Vytautas the Great University organize this beautiful promotion. The next blood donation is not far away - on October 22, everyone who has not yet had the opportunity to donate blood will be able to do so at the Faculty of Natural Sciences (Vileikos St. 8). The blood you donate today can save someone else's life tomorrow!
