Apply for the position of president of the VMU Student Representative Office!
March 12 Vytautas Magnus University's Student Representation (VDU SA) election-reporting conference will be held, during which the VDU Student Parliament will elect a new SA president for a one-year term.
According to the temporary procedure for the organization of elections, those who want to be candidates must submit a completed application, motivation letter and operational guidelines until February 19 6 p.m. VDU SA Board e-mail by mail valdyba@vdusa.lt.
"Normally, candidates had to submit 50 signatures of students supporting them, but this year, due to the quarantine, this provision was waived," says Greta Šmaižytė, the chairperson of the VDU SA Board. She hopes that the current conditions of the pandemic will not reduce the students' desire to participate in the SA presidential elections: "This is a great opportunity to represent VMU students not only at the university, but also at the national level, to implement ideas and to work for the welfare of students."
The president of VDU SA heads the representative office and acts on behalf of the organization. He participates in Rectorate and Council meetings with the right of a decisive vote, delegates student representatives to university management bodies, forms working groups to solve various issues and performs other functions stipulated in the Statutes.
