Acceptance of applications for state-sponsored loans began yesterday

From in 2014 August 21 (10 a.m.) until September 26. (24 hours) students are invited to apply for state-sponsored loans. Students can fill out applications by logging in to State Study Fund Information System “Loan”.

After the application deadline, the fund will approve the list of students for whom loan agreements are proposed. It will be drawn up taking into account the anticipated need for funds for the provision of state-supported loans and the funds allocated for the provision of state loans. The list of students is expected to be published on October 15.

All students of bachelor's, master's, doctoral and non-degree programs of higher education institutions have the right to receive a state-sponsored loan. Students who do not fulfill their obligations under previously concluded state or state-sponsored loan agreements, who have suspended their studies or are on academic leave, or whose total amount of state loans and state-sponsored loans, excluding interest, exceeds 385 BSI (50,050 LTL) cannot receive loans. . State-sponsored loans are not granted to citizens of foreign countries (does not apply to EU and European Economic Area citizens) who do not have a permanent residence permit in Lithuania.

The following loans can be obtained in the autumn semester:

1. to pay the tuition fee (the maximum amount corresponds to the annual fee of the program in which the student is studying);
2. for living expenses (maximum amount of 6,500 litas, paid in equal parts every month to a personal account);
3. for partial studies abroad according to international (inter-agency) agreements (maximum amount 7800 litas, paid once to a personal account).
