The acceptance of applications for targeted payment is announced

While implementing the project of ensuring access to studies for students with special needs, the aim is to promote special students with needs to pursue higher education. During the project, the material base of the university is improved, training is organized for the staff, and financial assistance is provided to disabled students, aimed at increasing the accessibility of studies.

In order to receive a payment in the fall semester of 2013/2014, the student or his authorized person must, by 2013 September 16 Submit to the University Student Affairs Office:
· completed and signed application for targeted payment;
· a copy of the identity document;
· a copy of a valid disability certificate.

Targeted benefits are awarded to citizens of the Republic of Lithuania or citizens of other states and stateless persons who have declared permanent residence in the Republic of Lithuania and who meet the following conditions:
• according to the procedure established by legal acts, those who have a level of working capacity of 45 percent or less or a severe or moderate level of disability;
• those studying for the first time in first, second, third cycle or integrated studies and non-degree studies;
• those who do not have academic debts in the studied program and (or) penalties imposed in accordance with the University's study regulations.
The target payment, the amount of which is LTL 520/month, is allocated for the period of one semester and is paid to the personal bank account specified by the student by the 27th of each current month.
Legal acts regulating the awarding of targeted benefits:
in 2006 August 29 resolution no. 831 "Regarding the approval of the description of the procedure for providing financial assistance measures to the disabled studying in higher education institutions"
• 2013 May 27 Order of the Minister of Education and Science no. V-447 "On the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania of 2011 September 12 order no. V-1666 "Regarding the amendment of the description of the procedure for awarding targeted benefits to disabled people studying in higher education institutions";
• 2013 June 13 Order of the Director of the State Study Fund no. V1-26 "On the Director of the State Study Fund in 2012 April 16 order no. V1-29 "Regarding the approval of provisions for awarding targeted benefits to the disabled studying in higher education institutions" amendment.
