KAUNAS STUDENTS WILL GET TO KNOW YOU AT THE PARTY IN "GARGAR"
Future freshmen and their senior colleagues from all Lithuanian higher schools are invited to a traditional get-to-know-you party organized by VDU Radio. Friday, August 30, 9 p.m. young people will gather for the second year in a row in the most famous Kaunas loft "Gargaras" (Raudondvarios pl. 101) - after the party that broke attendance records last year, it was decided not to change the venue of the event this year either.
The introductory party is back this year with a new name - "First steps with VDU". Although the event is focused on first-year students of Vytautas the Great University, for whom the party will be the first step in their studies, existing VMU and other higher education students can also participate in this traditional celebration.
Many famous artists will be invited to celebrate the beginning of the school year. The pride of VDU will take care of the electronic sound John Deep, the charismatic ones Carl Canni and Paul de Man and famous for their extraordinary musical projects Dapa Deep. They will be replaced on stage Curly Bassist – a rapidly growing Vilnius company, uniquely combining rock and blues rhythms. The highlight of the evening will be one of the brightest lights of contemporary music Golden Parasyth – a group whose exceptional alternative electronics has already earned it recognition not only in Lithuania.
This fiesta will be completely free for VDU students - the event can be entered upon presentation of a student card, and first-year students who do not have one will be admitted with flyers, which they can get during the events of the introductory week or by visiting the "VDU Radio" studio (S. Daukanto St. 28, II a.) and in the Student Representation (27 S. Daukanto St.). For students of other high schools, the entrance to the event will cost only 10 litas.
The participants of the evening are guaranteed not only fun, but also a more comfortable trip home - on the occasion of the get-together party, the 13N trolleybus route will be extended from Kaunas Castle all the way to the "Kėdainiai gatvė" stop, near which "Gargaras" is located. This vehicle will run throughout the night on a special schedule - this will make it easier to forget the worries of the first steps and successfully start the new school year together with VDU.
