VMU in the 3rd Chamber and in Kaunas. in the municipal V. Kudirka public library (Laisvės al. 57)

 

The opening of the fair will take place at the university on Friday, November 22, at 10 a.m. During it, the patrons of the fair will say congratulatory words - Academician Juozas Augutis, Vice-Rector of VMU Science, Kaunas Municipality Vice-Mayor Vytautas Vasilenko, and Ramutė Žandarienė, member of the board of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Publishers, head of the "Žaros" publishing house.

At the fair, publishers will present the latest books, visitors will be able not only to view, choose the most interesting books and buy them, but also to participate in book meetings and presentations.

The organizers invite citizens of Kaunas, guests of the city, schoolchildren, everyone who loves and reads books to meetings with book creators - writers, historians, artists, publishers. Among the guests of the event are the poet, head of the VDU publishing house. editor Robertas Keturakis, writer Laimonas Inis, prof. Vytautas Levandauskas and many other representatives of the world of books.

The publishing houses "Aidai", "Algarvė", "Andrena", "Bonus Animus", "Charybdė", "Eglė", "Native word", "Homo liber", "Mijalba", "Raidynėlis", the publishing house of the Writers' Union are participating in the fair. VDU publishing house, Versus aureus, Žara.

Books will be sold at publishers' prices. The Christmas book fair is organized by the Association of Lithuanian Small and Medium Publishers, VDU Publishing House and Vincas Kudirkas Public Library of Kaunas City Municipality. The World Lithuanian Center helps organize the event.
