Study "FINANCE OF HIGHER EDUCATION: OPINION OF STUDENTS AND STUDENTS"

“One of the biggest problems of the Lithuanian higher education system is the lack of stability. It is sad that the change in the study financing model has become periodic: with the change of government, there is talk of new reforms, more attention is paid to the form of study financing, but not to its content and basic principles. Constant restructuring of the system forces higher education institutions to allocate resources to internal reforms, rather than to concentrate on improving the quality of studies, and students feel insecure because they do not know what the system will be like when they enroll. All this raises a general distrust of the Lithuanian higher education system. By presenting the study “HIGERARY EDUCATION FINANCING: STUDENTS’ AND ACADEMICIANS’ OPINIONS”, we want to draw attention to the values and principles that should be maintained when improving the system,” said Paulius Baltokas, President of the Lithuanian Higher Education Association.
