Student conference - about English language and literature

On Tuesday, March 4, at 10 a.m., a student conference organized by the Department of English Philology of the VMU will be held in the III building of VMU (K. Donelaičio str. 52–514) New Scholarly Voices 2014.

At the beginning of the conference, the vice-dean of the Faculty of Humanities of VMU, prof. Dr. Jonas Vaičenonis and the head of the Department of English Philology prof. Dr. Ingrida Žindžiuviene.

At the event, students will discuss the literary works of Stephen King, Isabel Allende, Jeanne DuPrau, Jack Kerouac, Haruki Murakami and other authors, the series "Twin Peaks", "Sherlock", "The Followers", etc., the influence of foreign languages on the English language, the manipulation of food advertising discourse, the role of context in literary translation, etc
