The most spring festival is coming back to town!
Already May 14 – 15 days return to Kaunas Student Square (Unity Square) "VMU Spring Festival"! This is a project organized by the Vytautas Magnus University Student Representative Council (VDU SA) for the thirteenth year in a row, bringing together not only students, but also the entire academic community of Kaunas. The main ideas of this year's festival: civic responsibility, personal self-expression, healthy lifestyle, and academic honesty and activism. This is a festival that is characterized by a variety of events and activities every year.
First day
On May 14, the first day of the festival, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. K. Donelaičio g. 52, first floor Those of you who can be blood donors will be waiting National Blood Center, and Vero Cafe in the courtyard with trainer Justina Karvelyte (Dance Studio "Up") will take place student morning exercise. Immediately after the morning aerobics workout, the annual, already traditional, basketball tournament "PF 3×3" at Student Square (S. Daukanto St.). For all those who strive to improve – from 1 pm to 5 pm open lectures and meetings. This year, you will have the opportunity to chat with Gintaras Steponavičius, Remigijus Šimašius, Paulius Ambrazevičius, Modestas Švoba and many other interesting personalities (VMU Central Palace Courtyard (S. Daukanto St. 28), VMU Theatre, Donelaičio St. 52 inner courtyard, VMU Central Palace auditoriums). From 12:00 to 16:00 in the lobby of the Great Hall of VMU, 1st and 2nd centuries. "Living Library" – a method of informal education that promotes mutual understanding, tolerance and respect for human rights. In free dance lessons (LATINO) Vero Cafe courtyard 2 p.m.. invites coach Lithuanian 10 dance champion Indrė Kučinskaitė. For all Harry Potter fans Quidditch tournament on Nemunas Island at 2 p.m. For everyone who wants to relax and just enjoy the day, there will be Chill zone (11 am – 6 pm in Student Square) along with RedBull, Kinect games, table football and other entertainment. The first day's events will be crowned by 9 p.m. upcoming Guitar evening and the band "Jama" & W” performance at PuntoJazz Loft (Ketucio Street 6).
Second day
May 15th will begin Book market (K. Donelaičio st. 52, 1st floor lobby from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Of course, it will still work Chill zone. 11 a.m. will be opened Creative workshops and workshops. Oh from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. We invite you on a blind date. "Don't judge a book by its cover." Because people are like books - the inside says much more than the outside. From 1 pm to 5 pm at., just like the first day, open lectures and meetings. 2 p.m. to the Vero Cafe courtyard to study Salsa invites dance trainer Haroldas Urbonavičius (Dance Studio "Me gusta"). Unity Square you will also have the opportunity to visit Spring market (4 p.m. – 7 p.m.). Already traditional Wind packing – a soap bubble attraction for both young and old – also Unity Square 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. At the same time in the same Unity Square participating in the campaign "Hey, Student, we're all equal!" You will be able to feel what a person with a disability feels, what difficulties and joys they face, how others react to them, and whether they receive the help they need. “This year, we dedicate our festival to the 25th anniversary of the restoration of Vytautas Magnus University and the 20th anniversary of our Student Representative Council,” says festival organizer Lina Paulauskaitė. “In this festival, every one of our students, all Kaunas residents and guests will find interesting and relevant activities for themselves: from sports events to lectures with famous people, from social and tolerance-promoting campaigns to grandiose concerts in the very heart of Kaunas. Let’s all celebrate spring together on May 14-15!”
