The last meeting of the rectorate in November
On the morning of November 26, the rector's meeting was held, in which the president of Vytautas Magnus University's Student Representation (VDU SA) Justinas Petkus took part. At the beginning of the session, Broniaus Karvelis scholarships were awarded to students of the Faculties of Arts and Humanities, and the best study subjects in the MOODLE environment were awarded. Rimantas Viedrynaitis' subject "Philosophy" took the third place, Nemira Mačianskienė's "English Language Teaching Methodology" took the second place, and Viktorijas Čepukienė's "Family Psychology and Counseling" was recognized as the best. The perspectives and specific measures of the Marketing and Communication Service were also presented, and the updated regulations of the VDU library were approved.
Student rector Gabrielė Stasiūnaitė presented her observations and those of the entire student rectorate about student practices at the university. It was mentioned that they start too late and last too short, the number of coordinators should be increased, more clear and understandable information should be provided. There should also be more communication with managers of practitioners in companies, preparation seminars could be organized and trips abroad could be encouraged. AIESEC internships were also taken into account and it was suggested to count them as internships. The student rectorate was positively evaluated, the professionalism was appreciated and it was emphasized that it will be useful in the future.
