The Korean cultural club "Hallyu" has acquired the status of a VMU organization

On February 27 of this year, at the meeting of the rectorate of Vytautas the Great University (VDU), it was confirmed that the Korean culture club "Hallyu" (lit. Korean wave) acquires the status of a VMU organization.

The goal of "Hallyu", which has been active for 10 years, is to introduce students and schoolchildren to South Korean popular culture, which is rapidly spreading in the West.

Club members organize brainstorming sessions, various lectures, movie and game nights, food production and traditional art workshops. Here you can also meet and chat with students from different countries.

"Hallyu" president Julija Ruskutė reveals that many beautiful friendships are born in the club. "I have been an active member of the club almost since its inception, so I grew up with this organization," the girl says. "Hallyu has become a place where we not only share knowledge, but also create a fun and cozy environment for like-minded people." Mr. Ruškutė does not hide it - in order for the club's activities to be continued and developed, people full of enthusiasm are needed.

VMU Asian Studies Center, Korean Culture Club "Hallyu", Japanese Studies Club "Hashi" and Chinese Language and Culture Club "Wu Wei" invite everyone who wants to get acquainted with the culture of Korea and the whole of East Asia to participate in VMU Asia Week. The event will take place on March 4-8. More information: https://goo.gl/Rxk4VX
