Kaunas City Municipality offers students to participate in the elections of the President of the Republic of Lithuania and the European Parliament as members of electoral district commissions

Kaunas City Municipality offers students to participate in the 2014 Member of the electoral district commissions in the elections of the President of the Republic of Lithuania and the European Parliament.

Currently, chairpersons of district commissions submit requests to the Director of Municipal Administration regarding missing commission members. We offer you the opportunity to directly participate in the organizational activities of the elections. The work in the commissions will last until June 4, but the main activity, of course, will be on May 11 and 25 during the election days.

Work as a member of the district commission is paid from the state budget!

According to the law, the Director of the Municipal Administration can appoint a person who does not belong to a political party and has a higher education as a member of the commission. Regarding the latter provision, reservations are possible, since there is a need for persons who know how to work with a computer (of course, this is not a problem for a modern student).

Those who wish to work in election commissions will need to fill out an application, but for now we invite you to provide at least information about yourself - contact details, the district commission or territory you want to work for, etc.

We especially invite those who want to work on the outskirts of the city (or who can, for example, come to them with their own car), but there may also be a need in the "sleeping areas" of the city or in the center.

You need to contact Rūta Dubosaite, the head of the Municipal Permits and Information Sub-Department, tel. No. 208 260, which will explain everything in more detail and answer your questions on this topic.
