Selection for studies abroad under bilateral agreements

VMU International Relations Office informs that the selection for 2013-2014 mm spring semester studies is underway in foreign universities according to VMU bilateral cooperation agreements. Applications to Japanese universities can be submitted until 2014. January 15, to other universities - until 2013. October 7

Requirements for participants

Students who:

  • studying in a bachelor's or master's study program;
  • studies well;
  • have no academic debt;
  • coordinated the study program with the coordinator of international programs of the faculty.

Participants are requested to register online and fill out the selection form in the bilateral exchange section by:

  • to all universities - October 7
  • to Japanese universities - January 15, 2014

Students are invited to choose a foreign higher education institution that has signed a bilateral cooperation agreement with VMU. List of universities

Documents for selection

The following documents must also be attached to the completed form:

  • curriculum vitae (CV);
  • digital photo;
  • grade sheet;
  • a document confirming knowledge of English or a relevant foreign language.

Before choosing a foreign university, participants are asked to review the descriptions of the courses it offers and make sure that the program abroad will be compatible with their studies at VMU. Students who wish to participate in the selection are invited to contact the international programs coordinator of their faculty and choose a foreign university that corresponds to the chosen study program at Vytautas the Great University.

The amount of the scholarship depends on the study period and the country the student chooses for studies:

  • Scholarship for exchange programs up to 1400 Lt/month. - Argentina, Brazil, Israel, Japan, United States of America, China, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan.
  • Scholarship for exchange programs up to 1200 Lt/month. – Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Malaysia, Uzbekistan.
  • Scholarship for exchange programs up to 860 Lt/month. – Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Macedonia, Turkey, Ukraine.

Motivated students can attend at their own expense if they do not receive a VMU Exchange Program scholarship.
