A week at the university is a useful experience for a student
From April 9 to 13, the auditoriums of Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) were traditionally filled with participants of the project "Student, become a student".
Students participated in lectures, meetings with the university administration, students, lived in dormitories. Working with VDU's Center for Business Practitioners, socializing, photo hunting and various other activities helped project participants not only to take a closer look at VDU, but also to see the most interesting places in the city of Kaunas and communicate with each other.
"I really didn't expect that I would like this project so much," rejoices Dominykas Mazaliauskas, an eleventh-grader from Venta Gymnasium, "I had a great opportunity to get to know the university, see how the lectures are held, and it helped me decide which field of study interests me the most!"
Viktorija Ivanauskaitė, a 10th grader from Garliava Juozos Lukša Gymnasium, assures that her expectations have been met fivefold: "The teachers involved us in discussions, so I could feel like a real student. I also met many different and interesting people, so the project left wonderful impressions."
"Students, be a student" is an ongoing project of the VMU Student Representative Office, intended for students in grades 10-12. The main goal of the project is to familiarize students with the university, its structure, study programs and teachers of interest.
