On Tuesday, May 13, at 1 p.m., a public lecture-discussion "The decade of Lithuania's membership in NATO and the European Union: what have we achieved and where will we go next?" with Antans Valionis will be held at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Diplomacy of VMU (Gedimino str. 44-303) and Petrus Auštrevičius.

Lithuanian foreign policy professionals - politicians and diplomats who led the negotiations on Lithuania's integration into the Euro-Atlantic communities and are actively involved in the formation and implementation of Lithuania's foreign policy - will lead the lecture and participate in the discussion: the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and the head of the delegation of the Republic of Lithuania for EU membership negotiations, Ambassador Antanas Valionis and former chief negotiator of the Republic of Lithuania on EU membership - Deputy Speaker of the Seimas and member of the Committee on European Affairs and the Committee on Foreign Affairs Petras Auštrevičius.

The distinguished guests will share the experiences of Lithuania's accession to the European Union and NATO, evaluate the development of the EU and NATO over the last decade, and the impact of membership on Lithuania. The guests will share their visions of what the goals and strategy of our country's foreign policy should be, and will answer the questions of the audience.
