Resolutions of the VMU Senate

October 15 Several important issues for our university were discussed at the VMU Senate meeting.

First of all, 2014 was reviewed. admission to VMU and compared with other Lithuanian universities. Also formulated in 2015 admission prospects. The question developed into a discussion during which the VMU was proud of its international character (which, in fact, is the leader in Lithuania).

Higher pedagogical names were approved by the Senate meeting. The following received the title of professor: A. Balchytienė, S. Barnišinskienė, E. Danilevičius, V. Fomin, A. Kazlauskienė, G. Mažeikis, N. Petkevičiūtė. The title of associate professor has been granted to: T. Berkman, A. Lukoševičius, L. Pikelienė, L. Rageliene, E. Rimkute, A. Rutkiene, J. Ruzaitei, A. Utka. Vice-rector Juozas Augutis was happy that among the pedagogues who received a higher title, there are already former students of the university.

Rector and prof. A. Balčytienė discussed the positions of humanities and social sciences of Vytautas the Great University in Lithuania. The Senate was reminded about the unique feature of VMU on the Lithuanian scale - its functioning Liberal arts principle. In addition to all the official resolutions, during this meeting, the diploma of professor emeritus was joyfully presented to the Lithuanian science prize winner, literary researcher prof. To Leon Fliorents Gudaičius.
