BAFF – Baltic-American Freedom Foundation
We invite applications for fellowships for practice and research in the United States of America.
Until October 30, we invite students and graduates to submit applications to the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF) for scholarships to practice in the USA.
The winners of the competition of the professional internship program will be given the opportunity to go to the United States to do internships at the best American companies. Program participants will receive a stipend of up to $30,000 per year, which will provide all necessary support – travel and health insurance costs, as well as funds to cover daily expenses. Program participants will be guaranteed internships that match their interests, abilities, and career plans. Interns can spend six to twelve months in the US.
Saulius Valentinavičius, a scholarship holder of the BAFF Professional Internship Program, admits: "Thanks to the BAFF Professional Internship Program, I started and will continue my career in the large global company AON Corporation." I was happy to join an international team, work on global projects and achieve greater achievements in the professional field. The years spent in the United States of America helped me to understand how business is organized in large companies and that it is possible to achieve anything in order to achieve high goals! "
The most important candidate selection criteria are the candidate's motivation and clear vision of the future, compliance with the foundation's mission, academic and professional achievements, as well as English language skills. All participants of the programs of the Baltic-American Freedom Fund must return to their homeland for at least two years after the program ends, so that they can contribute to the development of Lithuania's social, political and business environment with their acquired knowledge, skills and experience.
The Baltic-American Freedom Foundation has been operating in the Baltic countries since the fall of 2010. The foundation's mission is to strengthen relations between the United States and Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania through educational and exchange programs, focusing on economic growth and the development of democratic processes. The Foundation invests in the human resources of the Baltic States by offering students and researchers three scholarship programs that provide funding for professional practice, studies and research in the United States of America. After four years of the Foundation's activity, 194 program participants from all Baltic countries were given the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in the United States of America.
