"25th VDU Christmas"
As the weather cools, waiting for the approaching winter and the first snow to fall, the community of Vytautas the Great University is invited to gather together and share warmth, kind words and a cozy atmosphere on the occasion of the upcoming holidays.
On the 3rd of December at 4:00 p.m. in the courtyard of the Central Palace (28 S. Daukant Street), the VDU Christmas tree will be decorated and ceremonially lit at the initiative of Vytautas Magnus University organizations.
The tree will be lit and the rector of the university, prof. Zigmas Lydeka and the President of the Student Representation Justinas Petkus. Later, the celebration will move to the lobby of the first and second floor of the VDU Great Hall, where you will be greeted by the sound of live music, the smell of tangerines and mulled wine, which will awaken the mood of the upcoming warmest holiday of the year.
This year, the VDU community will also be invited to contribute to social actions and become part of them. Guests of the evening will be able to learn how to make ecological toys to decorate the Christmas tree. You will also be invited to donate items needed by the children and enjoy cakes baked by VMU organizations, services, and faculty communities.
