in 2014 Electoral-reporting conference of VDU SA

in 2014 March 13 At 14:00 Vytautas the Great University, in the small hall, the presentation of the annual activity report of the president of VMU student representation (for the period: 2013-03-14/ 2014-03-13) and the election conference took place.

Attended: representatives of Vytautas the Great Student Parliament 24/30 and honorable guests of VDU SA: Vytautas the Great University Rector Zigmas Lydeka, Kaunas Mayor Andrius Kupčinskas, Seimas member Gintaras Steponavičius.

The conference began with the student anthem "Gaudeamus" sung by the chamber choir of the music academy.

The President of VDU SA, Justinas Petkus, invited VDU Rector Zigma Lydeks to give a speech of welcome: "The teacher is what the students imagine him to be."

The next congratulatory speech was given by the mayor of Kaunas city Andrius Kupčinskas, who thanked VMU students for showing initiative for the benefit of Kaunas youth and was happy with the students' unique ideas.

Gintaras Steponavičius also congratulated the students, mentioning in his speech that Vytautas the Great University is an example for other Lithuanian universities.

LSS president Paulius Baltokas emphasized that direct elections are a big challenge, but VDU SA managed this challenge, even if less than 1000 VDU students voted in the elections.

The following were elected to the vote counting commission: Agnė Racevičiūtė VDU, KTU president Monika Simoškaitė and ŠU Student Representative member Gabrielė Gendvilaitė. After checking the quorum, 24 out of 30 members of parliament attended the conference. The meeting is declared legal.

Martynas Pievelis presented the audit commission report. In the opinion of the audit commission, all activities of VDU SA were legal according to all valid Lithuanian laws, and all previously planned activities of the year were implemented.

The annual report of the president of VDU SA was rated 10 points, the evaluation was proposed by VDU Alumni Donatas Juodpusis, and it was unanimously approved by the representatives of the parliament.

After the presentation of the VDU SA report, the presentations of the candidates for VDU SA presidents began. Justinas Petkus introduced himself, who mentioned that he would continue to improve the welfare of VMU students at the university and successfully represent them in various fields. After this speech, the election results were announced, which announced that Justinas Petkus became the president of VDU SA for the second term.
