Therefore, it was decided to extend the application period in the hope of receiving more applicants. The chairman of the board is happy that this practice worked and we received 56 candidacy applications. &quot;It is disappointing for several departments from which we did not receive any candidate&#039;s documents (Music Academy and Faculty of Natural Sciences), we hope that the parliament, when considering renewals, will also take into account the situation of those students&quot;, says the Chairperson of the Board, Solveiga Skaisgiryt\u0117. She also states that it was decided to start voting on Friday morning because Outlook mailboxes are usually not checked at night, so students would not notice the ballots and lose the opportunity to get to know and cast their vote for the candidates in the first 10 hours of the 48 election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>in 2021 VDU Student Parliament election results:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 523 students voted in the first vote (31 in the repeat vote), about 6.41% of all VDU students.
