A pile of books, empty coffee cups, tired eyes and early morning

outside the window is a painfully familiar situation for many current and former students. "There will be a next time

otherwise" - we promise ourselves once again, but once again folk wisdom is not wrong - it is much easier to say than

to do This article is for those who are looking for the strength to finish the thesis they started writing and

for those for whom everything is still in front of their eyes.

Spring, which has appeared outside the window in all its beauty, does not mean fun for high school graduates,

and at the time of writing theses. Some students are already calmly waiting for the presentation of their bachelor's theses

days, others are happy to be halfway through their work, and a significant number are still faithful to student stereotypes, so they believe

a miracle that happens in the last month or even a week before the day of handing in the thesis. After all

there are rumors that more than one student managed to write a bachelor's thesis in a few weeks or even

in less time. However, not everyone can boast of such abilities, let alone talk about

extreme stress and constant anxiety.

So where do you start? Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) of Political Science and Diplomacy

faculty associate professor dr. Ingrida Unikaitė - Jakuntavičienė says that starting is the most important thing

choose a field you like and are interested in. "After choosing an area, find out what is relevant and with what

problems are encountered in the environment and in everyday life. It is important to observe who is dominant

in the media and literature to see what is being done, what has not been done yet, and maybe what is being done

in other countries, but in Lithuania it has not been studied much."

When writing a paper, it is necessary to remember the spelling rules and remember what was taught through language culture

lectures. According to dr. I. Unikaitė - Jakuntavičienė, students make a lot of mistakes, and it's also a big mistake for them

lacks a sense of style, so the teacher advises to give the written work to another person to read.

At the request of the Lithuanian Language Commission, an analysis of master's theses was done, which revealed that students

has a lot of problems with the Lithuanian language itself and found that universities need more

focus on this problem.

It is important to be an honest student and to write the paper honestly. According to plagiarism detection system plag.lt,

the scale of plagiarism in the country is increasing every year, but teachers are not on foot - "works that raise suspicions,

are checked by "plag.lt", "Crosscheck" and other programs available at universities

in libraries" - says Dr. I. Unikaitė - Jakuntavičienė. With those who buy theses

The VMU teacher claims that she does not encounter students, because she works with students constantly, according to the plan.

For those who still lack determination and motivation, Dr. I. Unikaitė - Jakuntavičienė advises what

start faster: "Everything is possible, you just need determination, patience and time - for example, you can

set aside weekends for writing work. All sources are readily available these days, the important thing is

plan, write in parts, and you will see that when you sit down, ideas emerge. Don't forget too

review previously written work to see what it should look like. Work on

sources, do research, and then you can "sculpt" the text. Do not be afraid to go to the teacher because

every conversation gives something, leads somewhere, especially when there are doubts".

The most important thing is to start, and once you start, don't stop. So, future graduate, there's still time, that's all

in your hands!

It is probably not without reason that it is joked that for students, the last nights before exams are the most productive.
