The last month of school (excluding the session) is almost here \u2013 and where does that time disappear to\u2026 You close your eyes and open them, and look \u2013 it\u2019s already the next day. Although we are not the masters of time, we are all still eagerly awaiting the most fun event \u201cSpring Festival\u201d, which this year has been completely renewed and will interest everyone with its program! So, taking our time and taking a breath of fresh spring air, sitting somewhere on a bench and warming ourselves in the sun, let\u2019s read the thoughts of these three girls, which will allow us to look at the most fun festival with different eyes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\u2022 She is studying English philology, although she dreamed of becoming an event organizer.
\n\u2022 Family and closest friends are the most important things in her life. She would sacrifice everything for them.
\n\u2022 The year is counted from one "Spring Festival" to the next<\/p>\n

Talking to myself is associated with mild symptoms of schizophrenia for me, and that's probably why I was quite skeptical about this new way of writing an article... Questioning, discussing, and criticizing another person always seems easier than coming face to face with yourself, but I can't avoid it today. So here are my 3 questions to myself. About myself. About life. About the "Spring Festival".<\/p>\n

When did you first encounter this festival and why are YOU coordinating the organizational work of the festival today? I personally encountered this festival in the winter of 2011, when I was still a freshman at the VMU Student Representative Council and joined the organizational group. That year, I was just a helper, contributing to the least noticeable tasks: preparing decorations, welcoming performers, carrying water, and so on. Last year, I had to take on the role of the main organizer. Thanks to hardworking people who, like me, lived this festival, we created a great celebration for the entire VMU community and even the city of Kaunas.<\/p>\n

Why did I do it this year? Because I think challenging myself and surpassing last year's festival is a huge motivation. And it's also a great opportunity as a fourth-year student to knock on doors before handing over the organizational work of this festival to someone else.
\nWhat will this year's "Spring Festival" be like? Every year the "Spring Festival" is different. This year it is different because of the changed and rejuvenated organizational team, because of the many new events that have no alternatives in Lithuania, for example, the "Quidditch" tournament. It is also different because it is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of our university and the twentieth anniversary of the Student Representative Council. After all, it is very rare when we have so many important occasions to celebrate and be together!
\nWhat is the "VMU Spring Festival" to you? For me, the "Spring Festival" is half a year of hard work, a team of more than 60 dedicated people, three days of the most wonderful and student-friendly network of events, endless memories, photo albums, thousands of smiles and dancing people in Unity Square...<\/p>\n

\u2022 A girl who is easier to get interested in talking about sports than about new diets or makeup tricks
\n\u2022 She is absolutely crazy about basketball.
\n\u2022 It's better not to feed her, let her talk - she could probably talk 24 hours a day and probably about anything
\n\u2022 If you don't read a single book in a month, it's wasted.
\n\u2022 Although it may not seem like it, she is a true rocker at heart \u2013 her biggest dream is to be able to return to the days when bands like Queen or Led Zeppelin existed.<\/p>\n

I have been at the representative office for three years now. And how I remember my first days today. From the very beginning, everyone said \u201cfor a long time\u201d that the most fun time at the representative office is organizing the \u201cSpring Festival\u201d, so I was really looking forward to it. This year\u2019s festival is already my third. Before starting this event, I asked myself for a long time whether it could still interest me? Make me happy? Now that the work is already in full swing, I can confidently answer: YES! Extremely interesting people will come to give lectures, and my favorite bands will play at the closing concert. Of course, the festival must be attractive and appealing not only to us, but also to the entire VMU community, so the question immediately arises: are we still interesting? There is really no need to search for the answer for a long time. Who else can offer such a wide range of different activities\u2026 From lectures to social events. From theater in unconventional spaces to a grandiose closing concert. And where else can there be a basketball tournament, paddleboarding competitions and the first Quidditch championship in Lithuania. The program is impressive, and questions are crawling around in my head like a little worm: will everything work out? Will we have time to prepare? Will everything be as we hope? Questions that are difficult to find answers to. On the one hand, why shouldn't it work out: the team is more cohesive than ever, the work is going great, but we will only get the real answers to these questions on May 14-15, when the "Spring Festival" itself will take place. Well, at least for now, I am sure: we won't be disappointed.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 No one has planted a foosball table under a table for years (and they won't!)
\n\u2022 While playing Mortal Combat (xbox game), she is able to stand up, get scared, and do at least 5 squats at the same time
\n\u2022 Speaks 10,000 words per minute
\n\u2022 You will definitely suffer from laugh lines in old age
\nWhich "Spring Festival" event are you most looking forward to? Quidditch. So far. It's kind of fun to imagine 5 people riding broomsticks and running around Nemunas Island. And I want to see a golden skunk! One that's all golden, strapped to some shiny slingshot or shorts and running away from other players. Guaranteed to be one of the most fun events.
\nOrganizing the \u201cSpring Festival\u201d requires a lot of human resources. What is the A-team? A very good question. Theoretically, the A-team is all the strongest, most active, most responsible men of the agency, who carry speakers, equipment, heavy tables during the days of the \u201cSpring Festival\u201d\u2026 But in practice, these are the ladies of the agency, who do not call the men and have to do everything themselves. So men, pump up your muscles and get ready, because this year it will not be like that.
\nHow not to miss the \u201cSpring Festival\u201d? I can confidently say \u2013 it is IMPOSSIBLE to miss it. The \u201cSpring Festival\u201d this year will be bright, colorful and loud\u2026 we will hear about it a little less than a month before the event itself. It will be everywhere: on the streets, at the university, in dormitories\u2026<\/p>\n

Reading each girl's answers, an irresistible desire arose to get to this "Spring Festival" as soon as possible and visit each of its events! I invite you to join and not miss a single part of the program (although where are you, there are so many events that even several are happening at the same time... but I think everyone will choose the one they like the most and attract them). I really want to see the Quidditch match myself (you've read "Harry Potter", huh? And if not, hurry up and do it and then you'll know what we're talking about) - it will be so interesting to watch all this, and I believe the laughter won't last long... So grab a friend and hurry up to meet the "Spring Festival" friends. See you there!<\/strong>
\nPS I believe that the impressions will remain with you for the whole year until the next big event, and there will be countless thoughts that will swirl in your head like a whirlwind. So have fun and feel this spring mood. We look forward to seeing you at the festival! <\/strong><\/p>\n
